The Necromancer profession specialises in sacrifice, be it of corpses or the Necromancer's own health. Necromancers revel in inflicting diseases and curses on the enemy. Once dead, an enemy becomes just another resource to be used; either inflicting damage, or to restore the Necromancer. The Necromancer is able to deal out large amounts of damage quickly, but in the process will become very vulnerable to counter-attack. It is imperative, therefore, that Necromancers choose their skills wisely and learn when to use them and when to show restraint. Corpses lying on the battlefield are a Necromancer's best friend, as they can be utilised to deal damage or raise undead minions to fight beside the Necromancer.
A dual-class Necromancer can be a potent ally or a dire enemy. A Necromancer/Warrior can make excellent use of skills such as Life Syphon and Vampiric Touch to regenerate his (or her) own health during combat, while using Warrior skills to damage his opponents. A Necromancer/Monk, on the other hand, specialises in attacking from a distance; they can more freely utilise the health-sacrifice skills, with Monk skills such as Mending and Vital Blessing helping prevent their life from getting too low. A Necromancer/Ranger can combine the Necromancer skills Order of Pain and Barbs with the Ranger Dual Shot skill to dish out large amounts of damage very quickly.
Newly created Necromancers start with basic armor. Each piece of armor (boots, gloves, vest and pants) provides 5 armor with the vest and gloves also giving +5 to max energy supply (for a total of +10), while the boots and pants each give +1 to energy regeneration (total of +2). New, and better, armor can be crafted as the Necromancer gains levels.

The Necromancer has access to four Attributes. These are Soul Reaping, Curses, Death Magic, and Blood Magic. Soul Reaping is only available if you take Necromancer as your primary profession.
Soul Reaping: (Primary Only) Placing points in this attribute allows the Necromancer to gain energy whenever any creature dies. The more points you put into Soul Reaping, the higher the amount of energy gained from each death.
Curses: The Curses attribute increases the effectiveness of most Curse Skills.
Death Magic: The Death Magic attribute increases the effectiveness of all Death Skills.
Blood Magic: The Blood Magic attribute increases the effectiveness of all Blood Skills.
