The Warrior profession encompasses the use of melee weapons. Some choose the sword and rely on the sharp blade to see them to victory. Others choose the hammer and rely on its weight to give them an advantage. And still others prefer the axe and its powerful attacks. Warriors are currently the only Profession who know how to use a shield, and they also gain more protection from their armor. Warriors typically take the brunt of any combat, wading in and swinging their weapons. Dual-classing as Monks allows them to use buffs to improve their chances of survival. Choosing the Ranger for dual-class allows a Warrior to do some damage from range before closing to melee range. Adding a few Necromancer skills can make Warriors devastating, allowing them to damage their opponents at the same time they are healing themselves.
Many Warrior skills require Adrenaline to be used. Adrenaline builds up as you deal damage to an enemy. The amount of Adrenaline required varies for each skill and is shown visually on the skill icon in the interface. Built up Adrenaline will be lost if you are out of combat for longer than 20 seconds.
Newly created Warriors start with basic armor. Each piece of armor (helmet, boots, gloves, vest and pants) provides 30 armor, however it is vulnerable to lightning attacks having -60 penalty to this type of damage. New, and better, armor can be crafted as the Warrior gains levels.

Warriors have access to five Attributes. These are Toughness, Axe Mastery, Hammer Mastery, Swordsmanship and Tactics. Toughness is only available if you take Warrior as your primary profession.
Strength: (Primary Only) The Strength attribute affects the quality of linked skills. Any Warrior "attack" skills you use are also given a 2% (per rank in Strength) armor penetration bonus.
Axe Mastery: Improves your effectiveness when wielding an axe or using skills that require an axe.
Hammer Mastery: Improves your ability to use a hammer and enhances skills that require a hammer.
Swordsmanship: Improves your effectiveness when using a sword and skills that require a sword are enhanced.
Tactics: Improves your effectiveness when using skills linked to Tactics.
